Fie Bia Mensah Wom – In Every Home, There is a Mensah

Help Us Build the First Ghanaian & African Community Center in the Bronx

The Bronx is home to over 40,000 Ghanaians and more than 110,000 African immigrants yet we do not have a single dedicated community center to call our own.

At Mensah Health Foundation, we believe it’s time to change that.

For years, we’ve hosted health fairs, community programs, and resource events in borrowed spaces churches, residential buildings, and shared community rooms. But our vision is greater. We are launching a campaign to establish a permanent Community Health & Resource Center for the African Diaspora in the Bronx.

What This Center Will Do:

  • Provide year-round health screenings, wellness education, and mental health support
  • Serve as a referral hub for Medicaid, Medicare, and public benefits
  • Host youth and senior programs, support groups, and educational workshops
  • Create a safe, welcoming space where our community can gather, connect, and grow

Why It Matters:

This center is not just a building. It’s a home a symbol of belonging, strength, and progress for generations to come.

How You Can Help:

  • Make a Donation – Every dollar brings us closer to our goal
  • Sponsor a Room or Program
  • Share Our Campaign with friends, family, and your network
  • Partner With Us to support this vital mission

Let’s build a space that reflects our roots and supports our future. Because in every home, there is a Mensah and every community deserves a home.
